A comparison of Freesurfer and multi-atlas MUSE for brain anatomy segmentation: Findings about size and age bias, and inter-scanner stability in multi-site aging studies

open access: yesNeuroImage, 2020
Automatic segmentation of brain anatomy has been a key processing step in quantitative neuroimaging analyses. An extensive body of literature has relied on Freesurfer segmentations.

A case of an atlas vertebra bilaterally without costal elements of transverse processes

open access: yesSakarya Tıp Dergisi, 2018
An unusual atlas vertebra whose costal elements were not formed bilaterally was detected in an anatomy laboratory. Because the vertebral arteries have bony protections anteriorly by the costal elements of the transverse foramina of a usual atlas ...

Detecting homologous recombination deficiency for breast cancer through integrative analysis of genomic data

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.
