This article investigates optimal processing conditions for the laser‐based powder bed fusion of WE43. To limit the interaction with remaining oxygen, a 3 vol% hydrogen admixture to the inert gas is investigated. Furthermore, heat treatments are investigated in the range of 250–350 °C for 48 h.

Regolith-atmosphere exchange of water in Mars' recent past [PDF]
We investigate the exchange of water vapour between the regolith and atmosphere of Mars, and how it varies with different orbital parameters, atmospheric dust contents and surface water ice reservoirs.

The long-term evolution of both the atmosphere and the surface of Mars can be understood by examining the history of volatiles in the Mars atmosphere, their non-atmospheric reservoirs, and the processes of exchange between the two.

On the Stability of Super-Earth Atmospheres [PDF]
We investigate the stability of super Earth atmospheres around M stars using a 7-parameter, analytical framework. We construct stability diagrams in the parameter space of exoplanetary radius versus semi-major axis and elucidate the regions in which the atmospheres are stable against the condensation of their major constituents, out of the gas phase ...

This study introduces a conductive nerve guidance conduit integrated with wireless electrical stimulation through alternating magnetic fields, which induces currents and creates a supportive microenvironment for nerve regeneration. In vivo studies show that this approach significantly enhanced myelin restoration, gastrocnemius muscle regeneration ...

Sintering of ceramics for clay in situ resource utilization on Mars
The sintering of wet processed Mars global simulant green bodies is explored. Green bodies shaped using slip casting, throwing on a potter’s wheel and additive manufacturing, including material extrusion (robocasting) and layerwise slurry deposition (LSD)

Strong chaotic fluctuations of laser beams propagating through temperature inhomogeneities in the atmosphere [PDF]
The atmospheric temperature inhomogeneities are the main cause of the index of refraction variations resulting in strong fluctuations of intensity of the laser beams propagating through the atmosphere. It is shown that the Kolmogorov-Bolgiano-Obukhov phenomenology of the thermal (buoyancy driven) convection can effectively describe this process in the ...
