High-Resolution Spectroscopy of Cool Carbon-Rich and Metal-Poor Star HD 209621
Element abundances for HD 209621 obtained earlier display significant discrepancies, especially in the case of CNO and neutron-capture elements. Therefore we performed a detailed analysis of chemical composition of this star using a new high-resolution ...

Theoretical understanding of the upper atmosphere and the complex physical processes responsible for its composition, dynamics, and thermal behavior has improved to the point where reasonable three‐dimensional, time‐dependent models of the atmosphere above about 100 km exist.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Pathicity: Experiencing the World in an Atmospheric Way
Is there really an atmospheric turn? The concept of “atmosphere” as a qualitative-emotional prius of sensory experience seems today to have encouraged the convergence of many interdisciplinary studies focused on the qualitative aspects of our ...

Adaptaquin selectively kills glioma stem cells while sparing differentiated brain cells. Transcriptomic and proteomic analyses show Adaptaquin disrupts iron and cholesterol homeostasis, with iron chelation amplifying cytotoxicity via cholesterol depletion, mitochondrial dysfunction, and elevated reactive oxygen species.

The stability of late-type stars close to the Eddington limit [PDF]
Super-Eddington luminosities in hydrostatic model atmospheres manifest themselves by the presence of gas pressure inversions. Such inversions are not an artifact of the assumption of hydrostatic equilibrium but can also be present in hydrodynamical model

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

„The suspicion that is in the air“: Can latent intertextuality be sensed? [PDF]
The study is concerned with the phenomenon or notion of latency and its potential use in the field of literary science, especially in the field of intertextuality. She proceeds in several steps.
