. The El Nino–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) not only affects meteorological fields but also has a large impact on atmospheric composition. Atmospheric composition fields from the Monitoring Atmospheric Composition and Climate (MACC) reanalysis are used to ...

Atmospheric composition, chemistry, and clouds [PDF]
Venus’ atmosphere has a rich chemistry involving interactions among sulfur, chlorine, nitrogen, hydrogen, and oxygen radicals. The chemical regimes in the atmosphere range from ion-neutral reactions in the ionosphere to photochemistry in the middle atmosphere to thermal equilibrium chemistry and surface-atmosphere reactions in the lower atmosphere.

CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

The E3 ubiquitin ligase, RNF219, suppresses CNOT6L expression to exhibit antiproliferative activity
We identified RNF219 as a CCR4‐NOT complex‐interacting E3 ubiquitin ligase that targets the CCR4‐NOT subunit CNOT6L for ubiquitination. RNF219 directly binds to the DUF3819 domain of CNOT1 through its putative α‐helix spanning amino acids 521–542. Our findings also suggest that antiproliferative activity of RNF219 is at least partially mediated by ...

Mesoscale modeling study of the interactions between aerosols and PBL meteorology during a haze episode in Jing–Jin–Ji (China) and its nearby surrounding region – Part 1: Aerosol distributions and meteorological features [PDF]
The urbanized region ofJing(Beijing)-Jin(Tianjin)-Ji (alias of Hebei province) and its nearby surrounding region (3JNS) is becoming China's most polluted area by haze, exceeding even the Yangtze and Pearl river deltas.

Composition of Atmospheric Precipitation in Sweden
Preliminary charts are presented based on two years of data, to demonstrate the geographic distribution over Sweden of the annual amounts of Na, Cl, K, Ca, NH3-N and NO3-N brought to the surface of the earth by precipitation. The ratios of these total amounts to the total amounts of Na deposited during the same time interval are shown to possess ...

TTT and R2TP chaperone complexes are required for the assembly and activation of mTORC1. WAC directly interacts with components of TTT, R2TP, and mTORC1, and these interactions are affected by the availability of glucose and glutamine, correlating with changes in mTORC1 activity.

Development of a cavity-enhanced aerosol albedometer [PDF]
We report on the development of a cavity-enhanced aerosol single-scattering albedometer based on incoherent broadband cavity-enhanced absorption spectroscopy (IBBCEAS) combined with an integrating sphere (IS) for simultaneous in situ measurements of ...

Patch‐clamp recordings revealed that tamoxifen inhibits voltage‐gated sodium channels, especially under acidic conditions, both common in metastatic cancer cells. These effects may explain certain antitumor properties of tamoxifen, highlighting a novel mechanism of action beyond its known endocrine effects.
