On the Terrain Correction in the Atmospheric Gravity and Geoid Corrections
1993We demonstrate that the gravity terrain correction for the removal of the atmosphere is of the order of 50 µGal/km of elevation with a maximum close to 0.5 mGal at the top of Mount Everest. The corresponding effect on the geoid may reach several centimetres in mountainous regions.

International Journal of Remote Sensing, 1992This Letter presents an approach for applying atmospheric correction to remotely-sensed data in near-real time. In general, it is applicable to the visible and near-infrared part of the spectrum and in particular, it has been tested with channels 1 and 2 data from the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR).
