An Overview of Atmospheric Correction for GB-SAR
2019 IEEE 19th International Conference on Communication Technology (ICCT), 2019Ground-based synthetic aperture radar (GB-SAR) has been developed rapidly in ground deformation measurement technology and its accuracy has been improved gradually. However, atmospheric effects greatly affect the accuracy of its deformation measurement.

Atmospheric scattering corrections to solar radiometry
Applied Optics, 1979Whenever a solar radiometer is used to measure direct solar radiation, some diffuse sky radiation invariably enters the detector's field of view along with the direct beam. Therefore, the atmospheric optical depth obtained by the use of Bouguer's transmission law (also called Beer-Lambert's law), that is valid only for direct radiation, needs to be ...

Costs and Benefits of Atmospheric Correction in the "Clouds"
2019 IEEE Pacific Rim Conference on Communications, Computers and Signal Processing (PACRIM), 2019The evolution of software applications from single desktops to sophisticated cloud-based systems is challenging. In particular, applications that involve massive data sets, such as geospatial applications and data science applications are challenging for domain experts who are suddenly constructing these sophisticated code bases.

Atmospheric and topographic corrections for hyperspectral imagery
2009 First Workshop on Hyperspectral Image and Signal Processing: Evolution in Remote Sensing, 2009In mountainous areas, slope and altitude variations modulate the airborne sensed hyperspectral radiance image. A new algorithm, SIERRA, has been developed for atmospheric, relief and BRDF corrections in order to extract the surface reflectance in the form of bi-hemispherical albedo that does not depend on solar incidence and observation angles.

A method of terrain correction coupling with atmospheric correction
SPIE Proceedings, 2009Topographic effects and atmospheric effects are two main obstacles to further application of satellite imagery. In this paper, a new method has been developed in order to extract the surface reflectance over mountainous terrain. Three diffuse subcomponents are used to approximate the solar diffuse irradiance: circumsolar, horizon brightening, and ...

Atmospheric correction of Hyperion data and techniques for dynamic scene correction
IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2003Data from Hyperion over several sites in Argentina, Australia and the US were processed with the HATCH-2d atmospheric correction algorithm and compared with ground spectral reflectance measurements as well as with two other correction algorithms, ATREM and ACORN. MNF and water vapor images were used in the evaluations to detect artifacts.

The atmospheric correction procedure for CMODIS
SPIE Proceedings, 2006Ocean color satellites measure radiance at the top of atmosphere, while water-leaving radiance at sea surface is needed to derive ocean color information. It is necessary to develop atmospheric correction algorithms to obtain the water-leaving radiance from satellite-measured radiance.

Atmospheric correction for inland waters
SPIE Proceedings, 2004Inland waters are an increasingly valuable natural resource with major impacts and benefits for population and environment. As the spatial resolution is improved for “ocean color” satellite sensors, such observations become relevant to monitor water quality for lakes.

Atmospheric correction of satellite data
SPIE Proceedings, 2015Atmosphere responses for more than 90% of all radiation measured by satellite. Due to this, atmospheric correction plays an important role in separating water leaving radiance from the signal, evaluating concentration of various water pigments (chlorophyll-A, DOM, CDOM, etc).

The correction of atmospheric dispersion in LAMOST
Chinese Astronomy and Astrophysics, 2006Abstract Atmospheric refraction and dispersion affect the observational quality and efficiency of the Large Sky Area Multi-object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope (LAMOST). In this paper, by both ZEMAX simulation and numerical calculation, the atmospheric dispersion for LAMOST, which will be installed at the latitude 40°.4 and has a 20 m focal length ...
