ATMOSPHERIC CORRECTION: CONCEPTS AND FUNDAMENTALS

2022
Para a realização de uma análise espectral a partir de sensores remotos é fundamental que se realize uma adequada correção atmosférica. O presente trabalho tem como propósito realizar uma revisão sobre os conceitos e fundamentos da correção atmosférica.

Atmospheric corrections for pansharpening

2017
Among remote sensing image fusion applications, panchromatic (Pan) sharpening, or pansharpening, of a multispectral (MS) image has received considerable attention over the last quarter of century. Pansharpening techniques take advantage of the complementary characteristics of spatial and spectral resolutions of MS and Pan data, in order to synthesize a

Aerosol Retrieval and Atmospheric Correction

1996
Remote monitoring of global-scale parameters and their change requires the correction of atmospheric effects. Apart from clouds, water vapour and aerosols constitute the primary limitations for the remote sensing of surface features in the AVHRR visible and near infrared channels.

On the Terrain Correction in the Atmospheric Gravity and Geoid Corrections

1993
We demonstrate that the gravity terrain correction for the removal of the atmosphere is of the order of 50 µGal/km of elevation with a maximum close to 0.5 mGal at the top of Mount Everest. The corresponding effect on the geoid may reach several centimetres in mountainous regions.

A note on atmospheric extinction corrections

Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, 1982
Atmospheric extinction corrections in astronomical photometry are considered. Most investigators recommend obtaining observations of the object of interest near upper culmination while separate observations proceed on one or two pairs of extinction stars of different intrinsic colors.

Correcting for atmospheric distortion in telescopes

Physics Today, 1974
Optical astronomers are frequently hampered by atmospheric turbulence that distorts telescopic images by causing random phase shifts in the incoming light. These distortions often reduce the resolution of a telescope far below its diffraction limit. But the outlook may be brightened by new techniques now being developed to detect and correct for the ...
