Lateral instability modes of fronts in the atmosphere and in the oceans
The lateral stability of a frontal surface, separating two media with different densities, is studied for two-dimensional flows, within the f-plane approximation of meteorology and oceanography. The flows we consider are gradient currents, on both sides of a curved frontal trace.

We report phosphine‐oxide interlayers for wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells, in which tuned P = O Lewis basicity enables selective passivation of buried NiOx/perovskite interfaces and introduces interfacial dipoles that strengthen the built‐in field.

Biocompatible but Antibacterial Mechanism of Graphene Oxide for Sustainable Antibiotics
Graphene oxide (GO) exhibits selective antibacterial activity through specific interactions between its oxygen functional groups and bacterial membrane phospholipid POPG, causing membrane destabilization while maintaining biocompatibility. Model membrane studies and infected wound models in mice and pigs demonstrate effective bacterial suppression and ...

High-Frequency Orographically Forced Variability in a Single-Layer Model of the Martian Atmosphere [PDF]
A shallow water model with realistic topography and idealized zonal wind forcing is used to investigate orographically forced modes in the Martian atmosphere.

Atomic Layer Deposition in Transistors and Monolithic 3D Integration
Transistors are fundamental building blocks of modern electronics. This review summarizes recent progress in atomic layer deposition (ALD) for the synthesis of two‐dimensional (2D) metal oxides and transition‐metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs), with particular emphasis on their enabling role in monolithic three‐dimensional (M3D) integration for next ...

Heavy precipitation events and atmospheric instability [PDF]
The heavy precipitation events (HPEs) present a challenge for regional climate models (RCMs) mostly due to parameterized physical processes, especially convection. The aim is to examine the atmospheric stratification and instability in RCM before HPEs during the HyMeX campaign, in autumn 2012, which affected the coastal mountainous region of Croatia ...

X‐Functionality–Driven Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution in 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 Perovskites
We report a water‐based synthesis of 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 perovskite microcrystals with prominent photocatalytic (PC) activity for H2 production. The synergy between organic functionalization and HI‐derived iodide scavenges holes suppress octahedral distortion, and favor electron accumulation, enabling a PC H2 evolution ∼20 µmol·g−1 and long‐term stability ...
