The Effects of Irradiation on Hot Jovian Atmospheres: Heat Redistribution and Energy Dissipation

open access: yes, 2012
Hot Jupiters, due to the proximity to their parent stars, are subjected to a strong irradiating flux which governs their radiative and dynamical properties.

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Estimation of Dilution of Atmospheric Contaminants From a Paper Factory using the AERMOD Model

open access: yesIngeniería, 2018
Context: modeling of atmospheric pollutants is an useful tool for air quality monitoring and management. In this study the dispersion of three atmospheric pollutants (SO2, NO2 and Total Suspended Particles - TSP) emitted by a boiler from a paper factory ...

Modulational stability of nonlinear saturated gravity waves

open access: yes, 2019
Stationary gravity waves, such as mountain lee waves, are effectively described by Grimshaw's dissipative modulation equations even in high altitudes where they become nonlinear due to their large amplitudes.

Determination of billows and other turbulent structures, part 4.1A [PDF]

open access: yes
Billows are regular, wave-like arrays of cross-flow vortices that develop in stratified oceanic or atmospheric flows with large shear. Atmospheric billows can become manifest through condensation. Billows are frequently seen in their characteristic cloud

Atmosphere Behavior in Gas-Closed Mouse-Algal Systems: An Experimental and Modelling Study [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
A dual approach of mathematical modelling and laboratory experimentation aimed at examining the gas exchange characteristics of artificial animal/plant systems closed to the ambient atmosphere was initiated.
