Acetonitrile Ion Suppression in Atmospheric Pressure Ionization Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesJournal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, 2016
Efforts to analyze trace levels of cyclic peroxides by liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry gave evidence that acetonitrile suppressed ion formation.

Facet‐Specific PbS Quantum Dot Passivation Using Halide Perovskites for SWIR Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
PbS quantum dots (QDs) are emerging as powerful short‐wave infrared photodetectors, yet the passivation mechanism of large QDs by perovskites ‐ critical for their stability ‐ remains unexplained. Here, we unveil the ligand structure of CH3NH3PbI3 (MAPI)‐passivated 4‐nm PbS QDs using FTIR, XPS, SEM, NMR, and DFT.

Ionization of polyisobutylene derivatives by atmospheric pressure photoionization (APPI)

open access: yes, 2015
In my experiment, different polyisobutylene derivatives were studied. These derivatives are the following: olefin telechelic, chloride telechelic, hydroxyl telechelic and chloride terminated polyisbulylene (PIB).

Computation of electron precipitation atmospheric ionization : updated model CRAC-EPII [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A new model of the CRAC family, CRAC:EPII (Cosmic Ray Atmospheric Cascade: Electron Precipitation Induced Ionization) is presented. The model allows one to calculate atmospheric ionization induced by precipitating electrons.

An Ultra‐Reliable and Highly Sensitive Flexible Piezoelectric Pressure Sensor Based on Vertically Aligned Gallium Nitride Microrod Arrays on Graphene

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A flexible and highly reliable piezoelectric pressure sensor based on GaN p–n homojunction microrod arrays on graphene is demonstrated. The sensor exhibits high sensitivity, rapid response, excellent cyclic durability, and stable performance after thermal aging and PBS immersion, highlighting its potential for harsh‐environment and biomedical pressure ...

Benchmarking Coaxial and Angular Optical Emission Spectroscopy With Recommendations for Reliable Compositional In Situ Monitoring During Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Real‐time insight into local chemistry is critical for reliable part quality in additive manufacturing, especially laser powder bed fusion (PBF‑LB/M), where rapid thermal cycles and localized evaporation can undermine part performance. Optical emission spectroscopy (OES) offers non‑intrusive, in situ plume monitoring, but detection geometry ...

Turning Water Into a Tool: From Degradation Pathways to Functional Engineering in Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Water exhibits a threshold‐dependent dual role in lead halide perovskites, acting either as a degradation trigger or as a powerful tool for defect passivation, recrystallization, and structural engineering. This review discusses how controlled water‐mediated interactions govern stability, dimensionality, and optoelectronic performance, providing ...
