Production of regional 1 km x 1 km water vapor fields through the integration of GPS and MODIS data [PDF]
<p>Atmospheric water vapor is a crucial element in weather, climate and hydrology. With the recent advance in Global Positioning System (GPS) Meteorology, ground-based GPS has become an operational tool that can measure precipitable water vapor ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...

Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Significance of Different Vertical Distributions of Water Vapor In Arid and Humid Regions [PDF]
The vertical distribution of water vapor can be expressed by an index coefficient which provides information about eddy and advective transports in a region or in an air mass.

The Role of Precipitable Water Vapor in Arizona's Summer Rains [PDF]
The relation between Arizona's summer rains and the amount of water vapor in the air over Arizona was examined. It was found that the occurrence of rain was primarily determined by the moisture content of the air over the state, defined in this study by ...
