Extracting dark matter signatures from atomic clock stability measurements
We analyze possible effects of the dark matter environment on the atomic clock stability measurements. The dark matter is assumed to exist in a form of waves of ultralight scalar fields or in a form of topological defects (monopoles and strings).

A Quantum Scattering Interferometer [PDF]
The collision of two ultra-cold atoms results in a quantum-mechanical superposition of two outcomes: each atom continues without scattering and each atom scatters as a spherically outgoing wave with an s-wave phase shift.

ABSTRACT Primary lung carcinomas and bronchial carcinoid tumors (BC) are very rare malignancies in childhood. While typical BC and mucoepidermoid carcinomas are mostly low‐grade, localized tumors with a more favorable prognosis than in adults, necessitating avoidance of overtreatment, adenocarcinomas of the lung are often diagnosed at advanced disease ...

Satellite-borne atomic clock based on diffuse laser-cooled atoms
The technique of laser cooling of atoms gives an opportunity to improve the performance of atomic clocks by using laser-cooled atoms. The most successful cold atom clock, called the atomic fountain, is now widely used as the primary frequency standard in

The collisional frequency shift of a trapped-ion optical clock
Collisions with background gas can perturb the transition frequency of trapped ions in an optical atomic clock. We develop a non-perturbative framework based on a quantum channel description of the scattering process, and use it to derive a master ...

ABSTRACT Background L‐asparaginase is a critical component in treatment protocols for pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Acute pancreatitis reactions can necessitate delays and, in some cases, discontinuation of L‐asparaginase, which compromises outcomes.

Research on Self-Monitoring Method for Anomalies of Satellite Atomic Clock
Atomic clock is the core component of navigation satellite payload, playing a decisive role in the realization of positioning function. So the monitoring for anomalies of the satellite atomic clock is very important.

Stability of atomic clocks based on entangled atoms
We analyze the effect of realistic noise sources for an atomic clock consisting of a local oscillator that is actively locked to a spin-squeezed (entangled) ensemble of $N$ atoms. We show that the use of entangled states can lead to an improvement of the

MYCN Amplification in RB1‐Inactivated Retinoblastoma: Association With High‐Risk Features
ABSTRACT Background MYCN amplification occurs in a subset of retinoblastoma cases, both with and without RB1 inactivation. It has been suggested that retinoblastomas with MYCN amplification represent a distinct entity with more aggressive clinical behavior.

Active optical clock lasing on the Cs 7S1/2-6P3/2 transition under a weak magnetic field
In the bad-cavity limit, the collective atomic dipole is highly coherent, resulting in the phase information of an active optical clock (AOC) laser primarily stored in the atomic gain medium.
