A study of the effective atomic number of SixPb0.7-x(Fe2O3)0.3 ternary alloys for photons [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Technology and Radiation Protection, 2016
The effective atomic number (Zeff) of SixPb0.7-x(Fe2O3)0.3 ternary alloys was obtained for photons. Rayleigh to Compton scattering ratio (R/C) has been determined to obtain the Zeff of SixPb0.7-x(Fe2O3)0.3 ternary alloys of varying Si and Pb (10

The number of atoms in an atomic domain

open access: yes, 2015
We study the number of atoms and maximal ideals in an atomic domain with finitely many atoms and no prime elements. We show in particular that for all $m,n \in \mathbb{Z}^+$ with $n \geq 3$ and $4 \leq m \leq \frac{n}{3}$ there is an atomic domain with precisely $n$ atoms, precisely $m$ maximal ideals and no prime elements.

Effect of spin-orbit interaction on heterojunction band discontinuities [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
The effect of spin-orbit interaction is included in the linear combination of atomic orbitals calculation of heterojunction band discontinuities. It is found that spin-orbit interaction is not negligible when the atomic number of the constituent atoms ...

Image reconstruction algorithm based on variable atomic number matching pursuit

open access: yesJournal of Algorithms & Computational Technology, 2017
As the most critical part of compressive sensing theory, reconstruction algorithm has an impact on the quality and speed of image reconstruction. After studying some existing convex optimization algorithms and greedy algorithms, we find that convex ...

Application of dynamic programming approach to computation of atomic functions

open access: yesРадіоелектронні і комп'ютерні системи, 2021
The special class of atomic functions is considered. The atomic function is a solution with compact support of linear differential functional equation with constant coefficients and linear transformations of the argument.

Efficient atomic clocks operated with several atomic ensembles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Atomic clocks are typically operated by locking a local oscillator (LO) to a single atomic ensemble. In this article we propose a scheme where the LO is locked to several atomic ensembles instead of one.
