Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

Sensitivity to sterile neutrino mixing using reactor antineutrinos
The reactor antineutrinos are used for the precise measurement of oscillation parameters in the 3-neutrino model, and also used to investigate active-sterile neutrino mixing sensitivity in the $$3+1$$ 3+1 neutrino framework. In the present work, we study

Early atomic models - from mechanical to quantum (1904-1913)
A complete history of early atomic models would fill volumes, but a reasonably coherent tale of the path from mechanical atoms to the quantum can be told by focusing on the relevant work of three great contributors to atomic physics, in the critically ...

High dose radiation exposures are rare. However, medical management of such incidents is crucial due to mortality and tissue injury risks. Rapid radiation biodosimetry of high dose accidental exposures is highly challenging, considering that they usually

Aging Is a Key Driver for Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a classical age‐related hematologic malignancy, and a key driver of AML is aging, which profoundly regulates intrinsic factors such as genomic instability, epigenetic reprogramming, and metabolic dysregulation, and alters bone marrow microenvironment.
