The Impact of Atopic Dermatitis on Sexual Function and Reproductive Desires in Women

open access: yesActa Dermato-Venereologica
Atopic dermatitis is a prevalent skin condition that affects up to 17% of adult population. It can lead to itching, pain, and other symptoms such as sleep disturbance, anxiety, and depression.

The microbiome in patients with atopic dermatitis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
As an interface with the environment, the skin is a complex ecosystem colonized by many microorganisms that coexist in an established balance. The cutaneous microbiome inhibits colonization with pathogens, such as Staphylococcus aureus, and is a crucial ...

Type 2 Innate Lymphoid Cells in Allergic Disease. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Type II innate lymphoid cells (ILC2) are a novel population of lineage-negative cells that produce high levels of Th2 cytokines IL-5 and IL-13. ILC2 are found in human respiratory and gastrointestinal tissue as well as in skin.

VLM Models and Automated Grading of Atopic Dermatitis [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
The task of grading atopic dermatitis (or AD, a form of eczema) from patient images is difficult even for trained dermatologists. Research on automating this task has progressed in recent years with the development of deep learning solutions; however, the rapid evolution of multimodal models and more specifically vision-language models (VLMs) opens the

TREatment of ATopic eczema (TREAT) Registry Taskforce: consensus on how and when to measure the core dataset for atopic eczema treatment research registries. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
BackgroundComparative, real-life and long-term evidence on the effectiveness and safety of phototherapy and systemic therapy in moderate-to-severe atopic eczema (AE) is limited.

Artificial intelligence-enabled precision medicine for inflammatory skin diseases [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and multimodal data collection are revolutionizing dermatology. Generative AI and machine learning approaches offer opportunities to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory skin diseases, including atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, and autoimmune connective tissue disease.

Causal association between atopic dermatitis and Parkinson's disease: A bidirectional Mendelian randomization study

open access: yesBrain and Behavior
Background Atopic dermatitis is one of the most common skin disorders. Evidence has suggested an association between skin disorders, such as atopic dermatitis, and Parkinson's disease (PD).

Higher-order identities for balancing numbers [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Let $B_n$ be the $n$-th balancing number. In this paper, we give some explicit expressions of $\sum_{l=0}^{2 r-3}(-1)^l\binom{2 r-3}{l}\sum_{j_1+\cdots+j_r=n-2 l\atop j_1,\dots,j_r\ge 1}B_{j_1}\cdots B_{j_r}$ and $\sum_{j_1+\cdots+j_r=n\atop j_1,\dots,j_r\ge 1}B_{j_1}\cdots B_{j_r}$.

D^0 Mixing [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
An overview of selected experimental results in the field of $D^0$-$\bar{D}^0$ oscillations is presented. The average results for the mixing parameters, $x=(0.89\pm{0.26\atop 0.27})%$ and $y=(0.75\pm{0.17\atop 0.18})%$, exclude the no-mixing hypothesis at the level of 6.7 standard deviations. No sign of CP violation in the $D^0$ system is observed. The
