From Genomics to Precision Cardiology: A Comprehensive Review of Clinical Applications and Challenges in Cardiovascular Diseases

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 10, October 2026.
Genomic medicine in cardiovascular care is progressing from established diagnostic applications toward integrated risk prediction, multiomics, and emerging therapeutic strategies. ABSTRACT Background Genomic cardiology is an emerging field integrating genetic, molecular, imaging, and digital health data to improve cardiovascular disease (CVD ...

Left atrioventricular accessory pathway with Mahaim fiber characteristics: a rare case report

open access: yesBMC Cardiovascular Disorders
Antidromic atrioventricular re-entrant tachycardia (AVRT) is a rare clinically wide-QRS tachycardia that can often be misdiagnosed as ventricular tachycardia (VT).

Comparative Clinical Outcomes Across Ambulatory Cardiac Monitoring Modalities

open access: yesClinical Cardiology, Volume 49, Issue 10, October 2026.
In >350 000 commercially insured and Medicare Advantage patients undergoing ambulatory cardiac monitoring, outcomes varied across modalities and vendors. A specific long‐term continuous monitor was associated with generally higher claims‐based arrhythmia yield and lower repeat monitoring than most alternatives, as well as lower hospitalization, health ...

Expert Consensus Statement: Committee on Implantable Devices and Committee on Social Issues, Japanese Heart Rhythm Society (JHRS) Statement on Remote Monitoring of Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
This statement of the Japanese Heart Rhythm Society (JHRS) provides comprehensive guidance for medical professionals and device manufacturers involved in RM. ABSTRACT Remote monitoring (RM) has been established as a standard tool for the management of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), offering advantages such as early event ...

Catheter Ablation Versus Medical Therapy in Atrial Fibrillation With Heart Failure With Reduced or Mildly Reduced Ejection Fraction: A GRADE‐Assessed Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
In patients with atrial fibrillation and HFmrEF/HFrEF, catheter ablation was associated with lower mortality and improved cardiac function compared with conventional medical therapy, while cardiovascular hospitalization was not significantly reduced. The overall certainty of evidence ranged from moderate to high.

Right Atrium–Dominant Single‐Loop Biatrial Tachycardia Mimicking Reverse Typical Atrial Flutter After Mitral Valve Repair via a Superior Transseptal Approach

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
Following a superior transseptal approach, extensive postoperative septal conduction impairment facilitated a right atrium–dominant single‐loop biatrial tachycardia mimicking reverse typical atrial flutter. Detailed biatrial mapping and entrainment revealed limited left atrial participation, highlighting the importance of recognizing biatrial circuits ...

Clinical Characteristics and Timing of Accessory Pathway Reconduction During Catheter Ablation of Accessory Pathways

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
Intra‐procedural accessory pathway reconduction occurred in 18% of patients, with 65.2% of events detected ≥ 15 min after initial pathway elimination. Reconduction was associated with a higher rate of late recurrence, supporting careful assessment for conduction recovery during the post‐ablation waiting period.

Electrogram Transition Patterns During Atrial Antitachycardia Pacing‐Mediated Termination

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 5, October 2026.
Among 1,641 aATP‐terminated episodes in 38 patients, six electrogram transition patterns were identified. Irregular post‐aATP activity was the most common pattern preceding termination, regardless of pre‐aATP regularity (47% in regular and 63% in irregular pre‐aATP episodes). Episodes with irregular pre‐aATP activity took longer to terminate (median 13

Radiofrequency ablation in a patient with atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia and atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia with 2:1 atrioventricular block.

open access: yesRevista portuguesa de cardiologia : orgao oficial da Sociedade Portuguesa de Cardiologia = Portuguese journal of cardiology : an official journal of the Portuguese Society of Cardiology, 2002
The authors report the case of 15-year-old girl with a history of palpitations and shortness of breath during exercise. The electrocardiogram showed ventricular preexcitation suggesting a Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome with a posteroseptal accessory pathway. During the electrophysiological study a left posterospetal accessory pathway was identified and
