Value of GastroPanel in the diagnosis of atrophic gastritis

open access: yesExperimental and Therapeutic Medicine, 2021
Analysis of serum biomarkers for the assessment of atrophic gastritis (AG), considered as precursor of the intestinal type of gastric cancer, is of growing interest. The combination of pepsinogen (PG), gastrin-17 (G17) and anti-Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) antibody serological assays (panel test) is a non-invasive tool for the diagnosis of atrophic ...

INDICATORS OF CELLULAR IMMUNITY IN THE BLOOD OF PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC AND CHRONIC ATROPHIC GASTRITIS

open access: yesSiberian Journal of Life Sciences and Agriculture, 2019
Helicobacter pylori is one of the common causes of chronic gastritis. In our study, we studied the indicators of cellular immunity in patients with chronic gastritis and chronic atrophic gastritis in the background of Helicobacter pylori infection ...

A Deep Recurrent Neural Network-Based Explainable Prediction Model for Progression from Atrophic Gastritis to Gastric Cancer

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Gastric cancer is the fifth most common cancer type worldwide and one of the most frequently diagnosed cancers in South Korea. In this study, we propose DeepPrevention, which comprises a prediction module to predict the possibility of progression from ...

Interleukin-1 beta single-nucleotide polymorphism\u27s C allele is associated with elevated risk of gastric cancer in helicobacter pylori-infected Peruvians [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Particular alleles of the interleukin-1B (IL-1B) gene have been correlated with increased risk of atrophic gastritis and gastric cancer in the populations of East Asia and Europe.

Impact of Ghrelin‐Depleting Gastrectomy on Long‐Term Endocrine and Metabolic Health With a Focus on Skeletal Muscle and Bone Mineral Content

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
This study investigates the long‐term endocrine and metabolic consequences of ghrelin‐depleted gastrectomy, with a focus on skeletal muscle mass and bone mineral content. Sustained reductions in serum desacyl‐ghrelin were linked to lower IGF‐1 levels, resulting in significant loss of muscle and bone.
