Impact estimation using data flows over attack graphs [PDF]
We propose a novel approach to estimating the impact of an attack using a data model and an impact model on top of an attack graph. The data model describes how data flows between nodes in the network -- how it is copied and processed by softwares and ...

Exact Inference Techniques for the Analysis of Bayesian Attack Graphs [PDF]
Attack graphs are a powerful tool for security risk assessment by analysing network vulnerabilities and the paths attackers can use to compromise network resources.

The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

The time for reconstructing the attack graph in DDoS attacks
Despite their frequency, denial-of-service (DoS\blfootnote{Denial of Service (DoS), Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS), Probabilistic Packet Marking (PPM), coupon collector's problem (CCP)}) and distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks are difficult to prevent and trace, thus posing a constant threat.

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

A Novel Approach for Attack Tree to Attack Graph Transformation
Attack trees and attack graphs are both common graphical threat models used by organizations to better understand possible cybersecurity threats. These models have been primarily seen as separate entities, to be used and researched in entirely different contexts, but recently there has emerged a new interest in combining the strengths of these models ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Attack Graph to Graph Database
Databases are an integral part of almost any computing system today, and users heavily rely on the services they provide. When we interact with a computing system, we expect that any data be stored for future use, that the data is able to be looked up quickly, and that we can perform complex queries against the data stored in the database.

Imperceptible graph injection attack on graph neural networks
AbstractIn recent years, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) have achieved excellent applications in classification or prediction tasks. Recent studies have demonstrated that GNNs are vulnerable to adversarial attacks. Graph Modification Attack (GMA) and Graph Injection Attack (GIA) are commonly attack strategies.

Attack Graphs for Standalone Non-Public 5G Networks
Private Networks (also known as Non-Public Networks) bring significant benefits to Industry 4.0. These networks are typically deployed on-premises of the enterprises, and their isolation from the public (consumer) networks improves the crucial aspects of
