There is a positive relationship between attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and tendency toward drug use in numerous studies. The present study was aimed to investigate the relationship between polymorphism of serotonin receptor 1B gene (HTR1B) and

Executive functioning in adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder: A systematic review
Introduction: Executive function deficits are associated with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in both children and adults. The inattentive subtype is primary related to “cold” executive functions, while the hyperactive subtype is related

Brain‐Wide Spatiotemporally Distinct Traveling Waves Drive Anxiety‐Like Behaviors in Mice
J.Liu et al. reveal the complete propagation dynamics of cortical traveling waves, from local circuitry initiation to long‐range propagation, and identify their functional relevance in modulating anxiety‐like behaviors and underlying cellular neuroplasticity in mice.

Attention-deficit disorder (attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder without hyperactivity): A neurobiologically and behaviorally distinct disorder from attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (with hyperactivity) [PDF]
Most studies of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) have focused on the combined type and emphasized a core problem in response inhibition. It is proposed here that the core problem in the truly inattentive type of ADHD (not simply the subthreshold combined type) is in working memory. It is further proposed that laboratory measures, such as

Short‐term intravenous treatments with iPSC‐derived mononuclear phagocytes (iMPs) improve cognitive decline and neural health in two mouse models of aging and in the 5xFAD mouse model of Alzheimer's disease. iMPs reduce levels of serum amyloid proteins that increase in aging and improve the health of hippocampal microglia and mossy cells.

This study reveals that early rather than late administration of S‐ketamine can ameliorate PTSD symptoms. This phenomenon is attributed to reversing the progressive inhibition of VTADA neurons and the function of VTADA‐OFC circuit following stress. Targeted stimulation of the OFC by TI‐NIBS to enhance DA release effectively extends the therapeutic time

Repeated neonatal sevoflurane exposure impairs adolescent fear memory through Igfbp2 downregulation in paraventricular thalamus‐central amygdala glutamatergic projections. Restoring Igfbp2 or activating this circuit rescues memory deficits, neuronal excitability, and spine density, identifying a precise molecular target for preventing anesthesia ...
