Chemical State Detection and Charge Transfer in Complex Oxide Heterostructures via In Situ Auger Electron Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ Auger Electron Spectroscopy resolves oxidation states with high fidelity during the pulsed laser deposition of multivalent perovskite manganate and vanadate heterostructures. The chemical‐state signature is carried by the valence‐electron population of the transition‐metal cation, read out through the relative intensities of Auger fine ...

A novel hybrid LFC scheme for multi-area interconnected power systems considering coupling attenuation

open access: yesScientific Reports
In this paper, a hybrid load frequency control (LFC) scheme is proposed for multi-area interconnected power systems to decouple the intricate double control objectives, by dividing all subareas into the responsible areas and the free areas.

Analysis of Passive Shielding Performance Stability in Hybrid Magnetic Shielding Devices

open access: yesApplied Sciences
In hybrid active–passive magnetic shielding systems, active compensation coils are used to suppress residual magnetic fields inside the shield. However, due to the intrinsic hysteresis of high-permeability materials, the compensation fields inevitably ...

Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

Design of a 12~30 GHz high precision and low additional phase shift digital controlled attenuator

open access: yesDianzi Jishu Yingyong
In order to meet the high-precision design requirements of broadband microwave wireless communication systems, a five-bit digital controlled attenuator with low additional phase shift in the 12~30 GHz range was designed using GaAs 0.15 μm PHEMT ...

Tuning Redox Dynamics in Cu‐Based Electrocatalysts: Effect of Secondary Metals

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Advanced analysis of operando X‐ray absorption spectroscopy data reveals that secondary metals affect the redox processes in Cu‐based catalysts for electrocatalytic CO2 reduction. This influences the amount of oxides formed under pulsed reaction conditions and the distribution of reaction products.

Adaptive active vibration isolation – A control perspective

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2015
In many classes of applications like active vibration control and active noise control, the disturbances can be characterized by their frequencies content and their location in a specific region in the frequency domain.
