Positron-based attenuation correction for Positron Emission Tomography data using MCNP6 code
This paper presents the Monte Carlo simulation of the attenuation correction for Positron Emission Tomography (PET) data using MCNP6 code. Two attenuation correction maps have been generated, one for correcting the attenuation effect in a homogeneous ...

Attenuation-Corrected Estimators of Reliability
The estimates of reliability are usually attenuated and deflated because the item–score correlation ([Formula: see text], Rit) embedded in the most widely used estimators is affected by several sources of mechanical error in the estimation. Empirical examples show that, in some types of datasets, the estimates by traditional alpha may be deflated by 0.

Importance of Attenuation Correction (AC) for Small Animal PET Imaging
The purpose of this study was to investigate whether a correction for annihilation photon attenuation in small objects such as mice is necessary. The attenuation recovery for specific organs and subcutaneous tumors was investigated.

Attenuation Correction of PET/MR Imaging [PDF]
PET/MR is a promising multimodality imaging approach. Attenuation is by far the largest correction required for quantitative PET imaging. MR-based attenuation correction have been extensively pursued, especially for brain imaging, in the past several years. In this article, we review atlas and direct imaging MR-based PET attenuation correction methods.
