KNSwing—On the Mooring Loads of a Ship-Like Wave Energy Converter
The critical function of keeping a floating Wave Energy Converter in position is done by a mooring system. Several WECs have been lost due to failed moorings, indicating that extreme loads, reliability and durability are very important aspects.

An S/C/X-Band 4-Bit Digital Step Attenuator MMIC with 0.25 μm GaN HEMT Technology
In this paper, a 4-bit digital step attenuator using 0.25 μm GaN HEMT technology for wideband radar systems is presented. A switched-path attenuator topology with resistive T-type attenuators and double-pole double-throw (DPDT) switches was used to ...

Light attenuation coefficient of polarization attenuator at high attenuation level
By use of the Jones vector we deduced the Jones matrix of actual polarizer and light transmission expression, as well as the light attenuation coefficient (LAC) of two polarizers. According to computation, certain error exists when using Malus-Law to calculate polarizer’s light attenuation ratio at high attenuation level.

RHESSI Observations of the Solar Flare Iron-line Feature at 6.7 keV [PDF]
Analysis of RHESSI 3--10 keV spectra for 27 solar flares is reported. This energy range includes thermal free--free and free--bound continuum and two line features, at 6.7keV and 8keV, principally due to highly ionized iron (Fe).

Attenuation correction in SPECT without attenuation map [PDF]
A method of attenuation correction in Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT), based on emission data only is presented. The algorithm uses the well known Helgason-Ludwig consistency conditions. However, it does not attempt to find the attenuation map, but rather the correction factors for the projection data, which makes the problem simpler
