Effect of 24-Epibrassinolide Plant Hormone Rates on the Level of Macronutrients in Forage Sorghum Plants Subjected to Water Deficit and Rehydration

open access: yesGrasses
Forage sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.)) is a cereal native to Africa and belongs to the family Poaceae. It is a forage with a C4 photosynthetic pathway that stands out for its ability to adapt to different environments; it is able to produce even in ...

Gaussian States Minimize the Output Entropy of the One-Mode Quantum Attenuator

open access: yes, 2016
We prove that Gaussian thermal input states minimize the output von Neumann entropy of the one-mode Gaussian quantum-limited attenuator for fixed input entropy.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Wideband CMOS Variable Gain Low-Noise Amplifier with Integrated Attenuator for C-Band Wireless Body Area Networks

open access: yesChips
This work presents a wideband variable gain low-noise amplifier (VGA-LNA) specifically engineered for medical systems operating in the C frequency band, which require the substantial amplification of low-intensity signals.

A thermally activated VO2-based attenuator with SRR structure

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2022
To meet the requirement of blocking unwanted or interfering signals in modern communication systems, wideband phased-array antenna systems, and 5G mobile communications, we proposed a radio frequency (RF) attenuator based on a split ring resonator (SRR ...

Wide power range microwave feedback controller [PDF]

open access: yes, 1978
A substantially constant power level is derived over a predetermined frequency band, in each of a plurality of relatively widely spaced power ranges, from a microwave load having a predetermined amplitude versus frequency response, such as an antenna.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Pulse transducer with artifact signal attenuator [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
An artifact signal attenuator for a pulse rate sensor is described. The circuit for attenuating background noise signals is connected with a pulse rate transducer which has a light source and a detector for light reflected from blood vessels of a living ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
