Direct Gravity‐Induced Modulation of Cardiac Conduction Pathways Evidenced Through Propagation Features in Electrophysiological Mapping

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A high‐density wearable body‐surface potential mapping array reveals how gravity reshapes cardiac conduction in real time. By resolving spatiotemporal delay patterns invisible to conventional ECG, the platform uncovers posture‐dependent electrophysiological adaptations across the thorax.

Polar decomposition for attitude determination from vector observations [PDF]

open access: yes
This work treats the problem of weighted least squares fitting of a 3D Euclidean-coordinate transformation matrix to a set of unit vectors measured in the reference and transformed coordinates. A closed-form analytic solution to the problem is re-derived.

Soft Robotic Excretory Care Simulator for Nursing Education: Functional and Perceptual Biomimetics Approach

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A soft robotic simulator is developed to replicate the digital removal of feces (DRF), a sensitive yet essential nursing procedure. Integrating soft actuators, sensors, and a realistic rectal model, the simulator balances functional fidelity with perceptual realism. Engineering evaluations and nurse feedback confirm its potential to enhance training in

Modelisation and instrumentation of a mini UAV PEGASE [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
A Mini Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, PEGASE 50-4 developed at ENSICA, have been modelled and equipped with an embedded system in order to achieve a fully autonomous system. First, the global architecture of the PEGASE system is introduced.

From Rigid to Soft Robotic Approaches for Neuroendoscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Robotic assistance has had minimal impact on deep intraventricular surgeries, where small‐scale, precision, and reduced invasiveness can contribute to improved patient outcomes. Emerging technologies in rigid, soft, and hybrid robotics are reviewed to identify the most promising mechanisms for deep brain navigation in addition to an attempt to identify

Attitude analysis of the Earth Radiation Budget Satellite (ERBS) yaw turn anomaly [PDF]

open access: yes
The July 2 Earth Radiation Budget Satellite (ERBS) hydrazine thruster-controlled yaw inversion maneuver resulted in a 2.1 deg/sec attitude spin. This mode continued for 150 minutes until the spacecraft was inertially despun using the hydrazine thrusters.

ESTCube-1 attitude determination

open access: yes, 2015
This research was carried out at the University of Tartu, Tartu Observatory, the Finnish Meteorological Institute and the Estonian Student Satellite Programme. This thesis presents the ESTCube-1 attitude determination system. The attitude is the satellite's orientation is space. ESTCube-1 is a satellite built according to the one-unit CubeSat standard (

Soft Robotic Snake with Tunable Undulatory Gait for Efficient Underwater Locomotion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This study designs an underwater soft snake robot using 3D‐printed soft actuators, controlled by specific signals to generate sinusoidal undulation. Results show a positive correlation between speed and swing amplitude, with optimal performance at 2/3π phase offset, PLA tail, 1.2 voltage growth rate, and 6s undulation period achieving a maximum speed ...

COBE experience with filter QUEST [PDF]

open access: yes
A gyro based filter variation on the standard QUEST attitude determination algorithm is applied to the Cosmic Background Explorer (COBE). Filter QUEST is found to be three times as fast as the batch estimator and slightly more accurate than regular QUEST.
