Stabilizing Transthyretin to Treat ATTR Cardiomyopathy

New England Journal of Medicine, 2018
Transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy is caused by intramyocardial deposition of transthyretin-derived amyloid fibrils, which leads to progressive ventricular wall thickening and stiffness of the heart. Once diagnosed, it is associated with a life expectancy of only 2 to 6 years.

[The ATTR-ACT trial].

Myelopathy in hereditary ATTR Val30Met amyloidosis patients

Amyloid, 2021
