The McCance Brain Care Score and Mortality: Evidence From a Large‐Scale Population‐Based Cohort

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives This study aimed to examine the relationship between the McCance Brain Care Score (BCS) and mortality in the general population. Methods We conducted a prospective, population‐based cohort study using data from the UK Biobank. Participants with complete data enabling calculation of BCS and full mortality information were included ...

Stability and attractivity for a class of dissipative phenomena

open access: yes, 2001
We consider initial-boundary-value problems for a class of nonlinear third order equations having non-autonomous forcing terms and get new asymptotic stability results by means of the Liapunov second method.

Complementarity of Long‐Reads and Optical Mapping in Parkinson's Disease for Structural Variants

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Long‐read sequencing and optical genome mapping technologies have the ability to detect large and complex structural variants. This has led to the discovery of novel pathogenic variants in neurodegenerative movement disorders. Thus, we aimed to systematically compare the SV detection capabilities of OGM and ONT in Parkinson's disease.

Fractional tempered differential equations depending on arbitrary kernels

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
In this paper, we expanded the concept of tempered fractional derivatives within both the Riemann-Liouville and Caputo frameworks, introducing a novel class of fractional operators.

Global Attractivity in a Discrete Mutualism Model with Infinite Deviating Arguments

open access: yes, 2017
A set of sufficient conditions is obtained for the global attractivity of the following two-species discrete mutualism model with infinite deviating arguments: and , where , , are all positive constants, , and .

Temporal Trends in and Associations With Nonsteroidal Anti‐inflammatory Drug Prescription in Adult and Pediatric Patients With Inflammatory Bowel Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Recent inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) treatment guidelines have recommended against nonsteroidal anti‐inflammatory drug (NSAID) use despite prevalent musculoskeletal symptoms and opioid overuse in this population. Given the discordance between changing national guidelines and potential clinical utility, we sought to assess national temporal

CHEMOCOMMUNICATION AT HUMANS AND THE POSSIBILITY OF NON-INVASIVE ASSESSMENT OF THEIR FUNCTIONAL AND PSYCHOSOCIAL STATE ON THE BASIS OF VOLATILE METABOLISM PRODUCTS

open access: yesВестник Кемеровского государственного университета, 2013
Subjective estimation of intensity and attractivity of the odor of sweat collected in axillary pits on filter paper is investigatedat 155 young males and 128 young females who were both donors and recipients of odor samples.

Hopfield Neural Networks for Online Constrained Parameter Estimation With Time‐Varying Dynamics and Disturbances

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper proposes two projector‐based Hopfield neural network (HNN) estimators for online, constrained parameter estimation under time‐varying data, additive disturbances, and slowly drifting physical parameters. The first is a constraint‐aware HNN that enforces linear equalities and inequalities (via slack neurons) and continuously tracks the ...

Current Tracking Adaptive Control of Brushless DC Motors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
In this paper, the current tracking for Brushless Direct Current motors is approached considering uncertainty in the parameters of the motor's model. An adaptive control scheme to compensate electrical parameters uncertainty is proposed without requiring any knowledge of the mechanical parameters.
