Functional Integro-Differential Equations with State-Dependent Delay and Non-Instantaneous Impulsions: Existence and Qualitative Results

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2022
This paper addresses some existence, attractivity and controllability results for semilinear integrodifferential equations having non-instantaneous impulsions on an infinite interval via resolvent operators in case of neutral and state-dependent delay ...

Attractive and non-attractive currencies [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of International Money and Finance, 2021
In the foreign exchange market, time-varying transaction costs and interest rates may define the time-varying set of attractive currencies for investors. Our study shows that when the currencies are attractive, they tend to deviate from the uncovered interest rate parity and to comove with the global stochastic discount factor (SDF).

Explicit Conditions for Stability of Nonlinear Scalar Delay Impulsive Difference Equation

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2010
Sufficient conditions are obtained for the uniform stability and global attractivity of the zero solution of nonlinear scalar delay impulsive difference equation, which extend and improve the known results in the literature. An example is also worked out

Ambivalence et complexité des nuits urbaines contemporaines : le cas de Bordeaux

open access: yesBollettino della Società Geografica Italiana, 2019
This article focuses on the night-time in Bordeaux, as a complex and ambivalent space-time. The urban night is a space-time no less complex than the daytime, as we will see with the example of the city of Bordeaux.

Physically attractive faces attract us physically [PDF]

open access: yesCognition, 2020
When interacting with other humans, facial expressions provide valuable information for approach or avoid decisions. Here, we consider facial attractiveness as another important dimension upon which approach-avoidance behaviours may be based. In Experiments 1-3, we measured participants' responses to attractive and unattractive women's faces in an ...

Global attractivity of solutions for nonlinear fractional order Riemann-Liouville Volterra-Stieltjes partial integral equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2012
This paper deals with the existence and the attractivity of solutions of a class of fractional order functional Riemann-Liouville Volterra-Stieltjes partial integral equations. Our results are obtained by using Schauder's fixed point theorem.

Global attractivity for some classes of Riemann-Liouville fractional differential systems [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Integral Equations and Applications, 2017
In this paper, we present some results for existence of global solutions and attractivity for mulidimensional fractional differential equations involving Riemann-Liouville derivative.

Global attractivity of positive periodic solution of a delayed Nicholson model with nonlinear density-dependent mortality term

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2019
This paper is concerned with the existence, uniqueness and global attractivity of positive periodic solution of a delayed Nicholson's blowflies model with nonlinear density-dependent mortality rate.

Eigenvalue Attraction [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Physics, 2015
We prove that the complex conjugate (c.c.) eigenvalues of a smoothly varying real matrix attract (Eq. 15). We offer a dynamical perspective on the motion and interaction of the eigenvalues in the complex plane, derive their governing equations and discuss applications. C.c. pairs closest to the real axis, or those that are ill-conditioned, attract most
