Facial attractiveness has important social consequences. Despite a widespread belief that beauty cannot be defined, in fact, there is considerable agreement across individuals and cultures on what is found attractive. By considering that attraction and mate choice are critical components of evolutionary selection, we can better understand the ...

Uniform weak attractivity and criteria for practical global asymptotic stability [PDF]
A subset A of the state space is called uniformly globally weakly attractive if for any neighborhood S of A and any bounded subset B there is a uniform finite time τ so that any trajectory starting in B intersects S within the time not larger than τ . We

Global attractivity in a recursive sequence [PDF]
In this paper, we Study the invariant intervals, the globally attractivity of the two equilibrium points, and the oscillatory behavior of tile solutions of the difference equation x(n =) ax(n-1) - bx(n-2)/c + x(n-2), n = 1,2,......, where a, b. c > 0. (C)

Local attractivity for integro-differential equations with noncompact semigroups
In this paper, we are devoted to study the existence and local attractivity of solutions for a class of integro-differential equations.Under the situation that the nonlinear term satisfy Carathéodory conditions and a noncompactness measure condition, we ...

Explicit Conditions for Stability of Nonlinear Scalar Delay Impulsive Difference Equation
Sufficient conditions are obtained for the uniform stability and global attractivity of the zero solution of nonlinear scalar delay impulsive difference equation, which extend and improve the known results in the literature.

Ambivalence et complexité des nuits urbaines contemporaines : le cas de Bordeaux
This article focuses on the night-time in Bordeaux, as a complex and ambivalent space-time. The urban night is a space-time no less complex than the daytime, as we will see with the example of the city of Bordeaux.

This paper deals with the existence and the attractivity of solutions of a class of fractional order functional Riemann-Liouville Volterra-Stieltjes partial integral equations. Our results are obtained by using Schauder's fixed point theorem.

Attractive and non-attractive currencies [PDF]
In the foreign exchange market, time-varying transaction costs and interest rates may define the time-varying set of attractive currencies for investors. Our study shows that when the currencies are attractive, they tend to deviate from the uncovered interest rate parity and to comove with the global stochastic discount factor (SDF).
