Attractors for stochastic strongly damped plate equations with additive noise

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
We study the asymptotic behavior of stochastic plate equations with homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions. We show the existence of an attractor for the random dynamical system associated with the equation.

Asymptotic Dynamics of a New Mechanochemical Model in Biological Patterns

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2017
In this paper, we prove the existence of attractor for a new mechanochemical model with Neumann boundary conditions on a bounded domain of space dimension n ≤ 3.

Tumor clusters with divergent inflammation and human retroelement expression determine the clinical outcome of patients with serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Analysis of treatment‐naïve high‐grade serous ovarian carcinoma (HGSOC) and control tissues for ERVs, LINE‐1 (L1), inflammation, and immune checkpoints identified five clusters with diverse patient recurrence‐free survivals. An inflammation score was calculated and correlated with retroelement expression, where one novel cluster (Triple‐I) with high ...

Cytomegalovirus infection is common in prostate cancer and antiviral therapies inhibit progression in disease models

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Human cytomegalovirus infection is common in normal prostate epithelium, prostate tumor tissue, and prostate cancer cell lines. CMV promotes cell survival, proliferation, and androgen receptor signaling. Anti‐CMV pharmaceutical compounds in clinical use inhibited cell expansion in prostate cancer models in vitro and in vivo, motivating investigation ...

What are cultural attractors? [PDF]

open access: yesBiology & Philosophy, 2017
Concepts from cultural attractor theory are now used in domains far from their original home in anthropology and cultural evolution. Yet these concepts have not been consistently characterised. I here distinguish four ways in which the cultural attractor concept has been used and identify three kinds of factors of attraction typically appealed to ...

Fixed Point Results for Fuzzy Enriched Contraction in Fuzzy Banach Spaces with Applications to Fractals and Dynamic Market Equillibrium

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
We introduce fuzzy enriched contraction, which extends the classical notion of fuzzy Banach contraction and encompasses specific fuzzy non-expansive mappings. Our investigation establishes both the presence and uniqueness of fixed points considering this

Attractor landscape analysis of colorectal tumorigenesis and its reversion

open access: yesBMC Systems Biology, 2016
BackgroundColorectal cancer arises from the accumulation of genetic mutations that induce dysfunction of intracellular signaling. However, the underlying mechanism of colorectal tumorigenesis driven by genetic mutations remains yet to be elucidated ...
