Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Analytical hierarchy process (AHP) approach to the selection of heritage building element

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
In order to bring the reduction of damage and defect of heritage buildings, the management needs to use an suitable methodology approach for the element heritage building. The goal of this paper is to make the selection of criteria and attribute by using

Cost-based attribute selection for GRE (GRAPH-SC/GRAPH-FP) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper we discuss several approaches to the problem of content determination for the generation of referring expressions (GRE) using the Graphbased framework of Krahmer et al. (2003).

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Attribute Selection for Stroke Prediction

open access: yesActa Mechanica et Automatica, 2019
Abstract Stroke is the third most common cause of death and the most common cause of long-term disability among adults around theworld. Therefore, stroke prediction and diagnosis is a very important issue. Data mining techniques come in handy to help determine the correlations between individual patient characterisation data, that is ...

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Semi-Supervised Attribute Selection Algorithms for Partially Labeled Multiset-Valued Data

open access: yesMathematics
In machine learning, when the labeled portion of data needs to be processed, a semi-supervised learning algorithm is used. A dataset with missing attribute values or labels is referred to as an incomplete information system.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Selection of Energy Trading Platform for Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Energy Trading by Using a Multi-Attribute Decision-Making Approach Based on Bipolar Fuzzy Aczel-Alsina Prioritized Aggregation Operators

open access: yesIEEE Access
The selection of the proper P2P energy trading platform is a complicated multi-attribute decision-making (MADM) dilemma that involves evaluating different alternatives against various attribute.
