Predictors of Breast Cancer Development in Women with Atypical Ductal Hyperplasia and Atypical Lobular Hyperplasia

Annals of Surgical Oncology, 2010
Atypical ductal hyperplasia and atypical lobular neoplasia are common benign breast diseases that increase breast cancer risk. We performed a cohort analysis that compared atypia patients for additional risk factors to asses the effect on breast cancer risk by atypia status. This longitudinal cohort study used data from the Women At Risk High-Risk ...

Phyllodes Type of Atypical Prostatic Hyperplasia

Journal of Urology, 1976
A prostatic lesion characterized by atypical epithelial hyperplasia and pleomorphism of the stromal elements is presented. The features bear a strong resemblance to cystosarcoma phyllodes of the female breast and probably represent a comparable lesion. Such atypical hyperplasia has not been described previously.

Myometrial dysplasia (atypical myometrial hyperplasia)

Human Pathology, 2007
Although precursor lesions are well known for cervical and endometrial neoplasms, precursor lesions are not currently recognized for the most common tumor of the uterus-leiomyomas. Myometrial hyperplasia has been recently described and evaluated by morphometry, but its relationship to uterine leiomyomas has not been systematically explored.

Juvenile Fibroadenoma with Atypical Epithelial Hyperplasia

The American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 1987

Pigmented nail with atypical melanocytic hyperplasia

Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, 1991
We report two cases showing black discoloration of the thumb nail which were histologically found to be acral lentiginous melanoma (ALM) in situ. A pigmented subungual lesion is more frequently malignant than benign and it is generally believed that diagnosis of subungual melanoma during the radial-growth phase is very difficult.

Atypical Lymphoid Hyperplasia Mimicking Lymphoma

Hematology/Oncology Clinics of North America, 2009
The distinction between reactive and neoplastic lymphoid infiltrates is a common problem in clinical practice and can be problematic. The clinical implications for both the patient and the treating clinician are profound. In this article, we discuss six of the common entities that can present as atypical lymphoid hyperplasia and thus can mimic ...

Hyperplastic lesions of the prostatic stroma with atypical changes are presented and discussed. One lesion was a leiomyoma with atypical organization and a limited area of nuclear pleomorphism without mitotic figures. One was a lesion which in many portions was histologically indistinguishable from leiomyosarcoma.

PHYLLODES TYPE OF ATYPICAL PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA

Journal of Urology, 1999
Phyllodes type of atypical prostatic hyperplasia is a rare lesion. Because of its resemblance to cystosarcoma phyllodes of the breast, it bears the same name. We report a case of this rare lesion with classical clinical and histopathological findings. CASE REPORT A 37-year-old man presented in acute urinary retention.

Black heel with atypical melanocytic hyperplasia

Clinical and Experimental Dermatology, 1993
Two cases with a black pigmented patch on the heel are reported. Biopsy specimens showed that atypical melanocytic hyperplasia was confined to the epidermis despite the lesion being present for a long time. The diagnosis of atypical melanocytic hyperplasia should be considered in the differential diagnosis of the black heel.
