Designing caps for colloidal Au nanoparticles

open access: yesChemical Science, 2021
We show that active surface growth is an effective method to create structural variety in the appending domain of Au seeds. The dynamic competition between the growth sites led to different Au hats on seeds.

Radiolytic synthesis and characterization of PVA/Au nanocomposites: The influence of pH values [PDF]

open access: yesHemijska Industrija, 2008
Nanocomposites which consist of polymer matrix and nanoparticles of noble metal are a very important class of nanomaterials. The optical properties of these materials are strongly dependent on the nanoparticles size as well as on the synthesized ...

Effect of Ar Gas Pressure on LSPR Property of Au Nanoparticles: Comparison of Experimental and Theoretical Studies

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2020
In this study, the thin films were produced by using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique from gold (Au) nanoparticles deposited on two kinds of substrates under different argon (Ar) gas pressure.

Collagen Cross-Linking with Au Nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yesBiomacromolecules, 2008
Tiopronin (N-(2-mercaptopropionyl)glycine)-protected gold nanoparticles (TPAu) were cross-linked to collagen via EDC (1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethyl aminopropyl) carbodiimide) coupling. On average, each TPAu forms eight amide bonds with collagen lysine moieties. The resulting gels were studied with environmental SEM, TEM, micro-DSC, and TNBS assay.

Absence of Structural Impact of Noble Nanoparticles on P3HT: PCBM Blends for Plasmon Enhanced Bulk-Heterojunction Organic Solar Cells Probed by Synchrotron Grazing Incidence X-Ray Diffraction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The incorporation of noble metal nanoparticles, displaying localized surface plasmon resonance, in the active area of donor-acceptor bulk-heterojunction organic photovoltaic devices is an industrially compatible light trapping strategy, able to guarantee

Production of Au/phosphonium polymer nanoparticles

open access: yesEuropean Polymer Journal, 2021
Abstract The introduction of cationic groups onto the surface of gold nanoparticles (GNPs) is a valuable synthetic technique with many applications. This study reports the synthesis of the functionalization of GNPs with phosphonium groups presented in the ring opening metathesis (ROMP)-type polymer backbone.

Collision-spike Sputtering of Au Nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yesNanoscale Research Letters, 2015
Ion irradiation of nanoparticles leads to enhanced sputter yields if the nanoparticle size is of the order of the ion penetration depth. While this feature is reasonably well understood for collision-cascade sputtering, we explore it in the regime of collision-spike sputtering using molecular-dynamics simulation.

Single-shot 3D coherent diffractive imaging of core-shell nanoparticles with elemental specificity. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We report 3D coherent diffractive imaging (CDI) of Au/Pd core-shell nanoparticles with 6.1 nm spatial resolution with elemental specificity. We measured single-shot diffraction patterns of the nanoparticles using intense x-ray free electron laser pulses.
