A Multicenter Study of Cochlear Implantation in Adults With Prolonged Unilateral Deafness
The Laryngoscope, EarlyView.In this multicenter retrospective cohort study of 68 adults with prolonged (> 10 years) unilateral severe‐to‐profound hearing loss undergoing cochlear implantation, most patients demonstrated meaningful speech perception gains and sustained device use, with mean word recognition scores improving by 28.4% (p < 0.001).

Functional Dissociation Between Cervical VEMP and Posterior Canal vHIT in 1770 Unselected Ears
The Laryngoscope, EarlyView.Cervical VEMP and posterior canal vHIT are conventionally treated as measures of a single inferior vestibular unit. In 1770 unselected ears from a diagnosis‐agnostic registry, the two tests disagreed in 72.7% of ears abnormal on at least one test, with chance‐corrected agreement near zero (κ = 0.097) and unchanged across age strata.
