Auditory brainstem response

2019
The auditory brainstem response (ABR), consisting of five to six vertex-positive peaks with separation of about 0.8ms, is very sensitive to factors that affect conduction velocity and hence ABR wave latencies in the brainstem auditory pathways. In addition, disorders causing dissynchronization of neural activity result in an amplitude decrease or ...

Auditory brainstem-evoked response in childhood brainstem glioma

Child's Nervous System, 1986
Auditory brainstem-evoked responses were recorded from 14 children with clinical and radiological evidence of brainstem glioma. Responses were abnormal in all cases. The findings were consistent with intrinsic brainstem lesions in all except one case with a glioma, which was shown to be located predominantly in the medulla oblongata.

Identification of auditory brainstem responses

International Journal of Bio-Medical Computing, 1993
Auditory brainstem evoked responses are routinely used in audiology and otoneurology. An automatic method can be used to roughly classify the responses into probably normal, probably abnormal, and uncertain cases. Interpretation of the auditory brainstem response is a multistage process.

Auditory Brainstem Response

2010
Auditory brainstem response to auditory stimulation is a non-invasive technique used to test the functional integrity of the brainstem connections and nuclei involved with hearing This method has been used in evaluating potential early brain damage from high serum levels of unconjugated bilirubin.

The auditory brainstem response

1990
In evoked potential work the action of the inner ear is too often ignored and seen only as the necessary mechanism for obtaining responses to auditory stimuli. In discussions this cochlear action is furthermore reduced to only the action of the basal part of the cochlea, since popular belief is that click evoked potentials (EP) are only mediated by the

No shinkei geka. Neurological surgery, 2023
Intraoperative auditory brainstem response(ABR)monitoring has been established as a reliable method to evaluate cochlear function. Intraoperative ABR is mandatory in microvascular decompression for hemifacial spasm, trigeminal neuralgia, and glossopharyngeal neuralgia.

[The auditory brainstem response].

No to hattatsu = Brain and development, 1989
In 1967, Sohmer and Feinmesser recorded four negative peaks from extracochlear surface electrodes and they stated that the later components may be due to repetitive firing of auditory nerve fibers or may be due to the discharge of neurons in brain stem auditory nuclei.
