HLA‐DQA1*01:02 is associated with antibody multi‐reactivity with citrulline‐containing type II collagen epitopes while HLA‐DRB1*04:01 is associated with more private antibody reactivity with citrulline‐containing IgG epitopes in rheumatoid arthritis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective Anti‐citrullinated protein antibodies (ACPAs) in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can be promiscuous, with cross‐reactive binding to many antigens containing short motifs, or private with little cross‐reactivity. Also, ACPA reactivity patterns differ among RA patients, including for motif‐containing epitopes in important self‐antigens like collagen ...

Systematic Study of Reactivity of Mg with Different Organic Solvents

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
This study examines the surface chemistry of magnesium electrodes in organic solvents to understand passivation layer formation. Using X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and time‐of‐flight secondary ion mass spectrometry, it was found that immersion in solvents leads to a thin, uneven passivation layer that becomes more uniform over time.

Microwave‐Assisted Surfactant‐Engineering Approach for Rapid Synthesis of Lithium–Manganese‐Rich Oxide Cathode for Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, EarlyView.
A rapid coprecipitation process combining microwave irradiation and surfactant is used to synthesize high‐capacity lithium–manganese‐rich oxide cathode for lithium batteries. Surfactant micelles provide morphology control and microwave boosts the reaction time.

Combined effect of increasing the post‐reformer temperature and adding red mud as a secondary catalyst in the thermocatalytic reforming of digestate

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract This work studies the combined effect of increasing the post‐reformer temperature and introducing red mud as a support catalyst in the thermocatalytic reforming (TCR®) of digestate. The TCR® method, developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety and Energy Technology UMSICHT (abbreviated as Fraunhofer UMSICHT), is an extension
