Correlation‐Driven d‐Band Modifications Promote Chemical Bonding at 3d‐Ferromagnetic Surfaces
Electron correlation at the oxygen‐passivated Fe(100) surface renormalizes and narrows the Fe d‐bands, enhancing their energetic overlap with the frontier orbitals of adsorbed pentacene. This strengthens hybridization and converts a weakly bound interface into a chemisorbed hybrid system, illustrating how correlation‐tuned d‐bands can be used to ...

The competition between H2 evolution (HER) and Cu electrodeposition during the dynamic hydrogen bubble templating (DHBT) crucially influences the synthesized foam morphology. Generally, when HER is dominating, numerous small H2 bubbles form, resulting in compact Cu foams.

Sub‐µm Hot Carrier Diffusion in 2D MoS2 on High‐κ Metal‐Oxide Substrate
This study investigates the enhancement of hot carrier diffusion in monolayer MoS2 through dielectric engineering. By comparing MoS2 on quartz and high‐κ LaAlO3 (LAO) substrates, it demonstrates how substrate‐induced dielectric screening suppresses carrier scattering and recombination, prolonging hot carrier lifetimes.

Influence of Competitive C–P Segregation on Austenite Grain Growth in Iron Alloys
This study investigates how carbon influences phosphorus‐induced solute drag effects during isothermal annealing of austenite grain growth in Fe–C–P alloys. Using in situ high‐temperature laser scanning confocal microscopy and density functional theory simulations, it demonstrates that carbon above a critical temperature significantly reduces P ...
