Augmented Zagreb index

Journal of Mathematical Chemistry, 2010
Inspired by recent work on the atom-bond connectivity (ABC) index we proposed a new topological index, augmented Zagreb index (AZI). The tight upper and lower bounds of AZI for chemical trees are obtained. Moreover, it has been shown that among all trees the star has the minumum AZI value.

Minimum augmented Zagreb index of c-cyclic graphs

Discrete Applied Mathematics, 2021
More then 10 years ago a modified atom bond connectivity (ABC) index was introduced as \[ABC_{\lambda}(G)= \sum_{uv \in E(G)} \left( \frac{d(u)d(v)}{d(u)-d(v)-2} \right)^{\lambda},\] which gives for \(\lambda=-\frac{1}{2}\) the original version of the ABC index.

Some results on augmented Zagreb index of some trees and unicyclic graphs

Creative Mathematics and Informatics, 2019
Summary: The augmented Zagreb index (AZI) of a graph \(G\) is defined as \[\operatorname{AZI}(G) =\sum_{uv\in E(G)}\left(\frac{d_ud_v}{d_u+d_v-2}\right)^3, \] where \(E(G)\) and \(d_u\) denote set of edges of \(G\) and degree of the vertex \(u\) in \(G\) respectively.

Topological Insights into Nanostar Dendrimers by Computing the Augmented Zagreb Index

Combinatorial Chemistry & High Throughput Screening
Background: The field of nanobiotechnology uses precise nanofabrication techniques to advance our understanding and control of biological systems. Due to their remarkable properties, dendrimers, which are hyperbranched macromolecular structures with distinct and well-defined architectures, have emerged as pivotal entities within this field.
