Efficacy of 0.5% Tretinoin in the Treatment of Equine Aural Plaques

Background: Equine aural plaques are a benign form of auricular papillomatosis caused by equine papillomavirus. Despite the efficacy of 5% imiquimod cream, a marked local reaction is frequently observed during therapy, often requiring sedation before application.

Abstract This technical note describes the use of a manual graphic roadmap (MGR) to assist fluoroscopic guidance during transarterial coil embolization (TACE) for guttural pouch (GP) arterial hemorrhage. Horses underwent MGR‐assisted TACE at the Equine Clinic, Free University of Berlin, between 2012 and 2024.

Abstract We investigated whether higher body mass index (BMI) modifies time‐resolved maternal autonomic control and maternal cardio‐electrohysterographic coupling (MCEC) during the first stage of labour. Seventy‐nine women were studied and, for the present analysis, grouped as Control (C; n = 41) and high BMI (HBMI; n = 38).
