Predicting the Ms temperature of lean alloyed ferritic–austenitic stainless steels
A set of laboratory hot-rolled and thermally cycled 19–22 wt% Cr lean alloyed ferritic–austenitic stainless steels were studied with respect to calculated equilibrium austenite composition and experimental martensite start (Ms) temperature.

Hydrogen‐enhanced SCC of WAAM Inconel 625 in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution. Hydrogen charging reduces passive film stability (lower corrosion potential) and promotes pitting at Laves phase/matrix interfaces. Stress corrosion cracks propagate along Laves‐rich regions, leading to quasi‐cleavage brittle fracture.

Influence of Strain Rate on the Strain Hardening Behavior of a Lean Duplex Stainless Steel
The aim of this study was to examine how strain rate influences the compressive strain‐hardening behavior of a lean duplex stainless steel LDX 2101. Microstructural analysis using electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) revealed a strain‐induced austenite‐to‐martensite transformation.

Transferable Hot‐Deformation Flow‐Curve Modeling Across Steels Through Transfer Learning
We propose a transferable sequence model that moves steel hot‐deformation ML beyond the “one‐case, one‐model” paradigm. Pretrained across compositions/windows and personalized with four extreme‐condition curves, it improves accuracy and robustness in 10‐fold evaluation.

To support future alloy development a powder mixture is processed by laser additive manufacturing. The powder mixture containing Mo‐ and W‐rich tracers is processed by powder bed fusion using single and double laser exposure and by directed energy deposition which provides drastically enlarged melt pools.
