Towards the Development of a Conceptual Framework of the Determinants of Pre‐Eclampsia: A Hierarchical Systematic Review of Social Determinants

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Existing reviews of pre‐eclampsia determinants have focused on clinical and genetic risk factors. Objective To evaluate social determinants for pre‐eclampsia prevention. Russian wheat aphid: a model for genomic plasticity and a challenge to breeders

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
Invasive foundress finds suitable habitat and reproduces through pathogenesis. Wingless females produce life offspring quickly, which leads to high population densities. High population densities result in competition, which may induce epigenetic changes and wing development for dispersal.

Warm Spring Weather Alters Calling Phenology of Four Sympatric Early‐Breeding Anurans

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
An unusually warm March in 2024 (“false spring”) followed by freezing temperatures allowed us to assess the impact of a weather event on an amphibian community. The calling activity of all four species was associated with increasing temperature, and the first date of calling was advanced by 11–18 days.

A Bayesian classification model to reconstruct lifetime movement patterns of riverine fish using environmental tracers

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, EarlyView.
Abstract Environmental tracers, including both elemental concentrations and isotope ratios, are widely used to reconstruct the movement patterns of animals throughout landscapes. The methodology involves creating a map that describes the distribution of the environmental tracer across the landscape, an isoscape and then matching the values of the same ...
