Combining scene and auto-calibration constraints

open access: yesProceedings of the Seventh IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision, 1999
We present a simple approach to combining scene and auto-calibration constraints for the calibration of cameras from single views and stereo pairs. Calibration constraints are provided by imaged scene structure, such as vanishing points of orthogonal directions, or rectified planes.

Auto-calibration and synchronization of camera and MEMS-sensors

open access: yesТруды Института системного программирования РАН, 2018
This article describes our ongoing research on auto-calibration and synchronization of camera and MEMS-sensors. The research is applicable on any system that consists of camera and MEMS-sensors, such as gyroscope. The main task of our research is to find

A Remotely Controlled Calibrator for Chemical Pollutant Measuring-Units [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The increasing diffusion of pollutant measuring units, which are installed over wide areas, along with the short calibration interval of several sensors for pollutant quantities, requires new calibration infrastructures to be developed.

Error Estimation for the Linearized Auto-Localization Algorithm

open access: yesSensors, 2012
The Linearized Auto-Localization (LAL) algorithm estimates the position of beacon nodes in Local Positioning Systems (LPSs), using only the distance measurements to a mobile node whose position is also unknown.

Coherent Auto-Calibration of APE and NsRCM under Fast Back-Projection Image Formation for Airborne SAR Imaging in Highly-Squint Angle

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2018
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging with a non-zero (forward) squint angle is capable of providing a longer time for reaction than that of the broadside mode.

EXPLOITING AUTO-COLLIMATION FOR REAL-TIME ONBOARD MONITORING OF SPACE OPTICAL CAMERA GEOMETRIC PARAMETERS [PDF]

open access: yesISPRS Annals of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2018
Precise geometric parameters are essential to ensure the positioning accuracy for space optical cameras. However, state-of-the-art onorbit calibration method inevitably suffers from long update cycle and poor timeliness performance.

A Bayesian Approach for Affine Auto-calibration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
In this paper, we propose a Bayesian approach for affine auto-calibration. By the Bayesian approach, a posterior distribution for the affine camera parameters can be constructed, where also the prior knowledge can be taken into account. Moreover, due to the linearity of the affine camera model, the structure and translations can be analytically ...

Bayesian In-Situ Calibration of Multiport Antennas for DoA Estimation: Theory and Measurements

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
The DoA of radio waves is used for many applications, e.g. the localization of autonomous robots and smart vehicles. Estimating the DoA is possible with a multiport antenna, e.g. an antenna array or a multi-mode antenna (MMA). In practice, DoA estimation

Selection and Treatment of Data for Radiocarbon Calibration: An Update to the International Calibration (IntCal) Criteria [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
High-quality data from appropriate archives are needed for the continuing improvement of radiocarbon calibration curves. We discuss here the basic assumptions behind 14C dating that necessitate calibration and the relative strengths and weaknesses of ...
