Can Rational Expectations Sticky-Price Models Explain Inflation Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes
Recent years have seen an important trend in macroeconomic research towards analysing business cycles and stabilization policy in the context of models that incorporate both nominal rigidities and optimising agents with rational expectations.

Global Warming Has Accelerated Significantly

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 5, 16 March 2026.
Abstract Recent record‐hot years have caused discussion over whether global warming has accelerated. Previous analysis found acceleration (i.e., increase in warming rate) has not yet reached a 95% confidence level, given natural temperature variability. We remove the estimated influence of three main natural variability factors: El Niño, volcanism, and

The effects of correlation on goodness of fit [PDF]

open access: yes
Autocorrelated normal random variates were generated via computer and the effects of various levels of correlation on goodness of fit problems were studied.

The impact of soil erosion on corn yields: A spatial regression analysis

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 1, March 2026.
Abstract This study examines the impact of soil erosion on corn (Zea mays L.) yield across counties in the US Midwest. Using a novel county‐level panel dataset that includes information on water erosion and corn yield, we analyze the direct and spatial spillover effects of erosion using a spatial regression framework.

N‐of‐1 trials in clinical research: Methodological foundations, statistical approaches and implementation challenges

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Volume 92, Issue 3, Page 809-821, March 2026.
N‐of‐1 trials offer a unique and rigorous methodology for evaluating individualized treatment responses, particularly within the context of personalized medicine. This article provides a comprehensive explanation of the conceptual and methodological underpinnings of N‐of‐1 trials, with particular emphasis on statistical techniques and considerations ...

An Assessment of Alternative State Space Models for Count Time Series [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper compares two alternative models for autocorrelated count time series. The first model can be viewed as a 'single source of error' discrete state space model, in which a time-varying parameter is specified as a function of lagged counts, with ...

The Mediating Role of Climate Targets in Corporate Emission Reductions

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, Volume 35, Issue 3, Page 3523-3538, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Corporations worldwide increasingly commit to Sustainable Development Goal 13 (SDG 13), yet the extent to which such commitments translate into measurable greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions remains uncertain. Drawing on Institutional and Legitimacy Theory, this paper examines the mediating role of climate targets in the relationship between SDG ...

Predation Risk Does Not Delay Breeding but Reduces Nest Survival in High‐Arctic Shorebirds

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 3, March 2026.
We assessed the impact of arctic foxes' predation pressure on two sympatric sandpiper species. Fox activity influenced the breeding ecology of both sandpipers, with earlier nest initiations and lower nest survival rates in areas of high fox activity. ABSTRACT Understanding predator–prey interactions is crucial for correctly answering many fundamental ...

Embryonic Hormetic Priming Modulates Later‐Life Thermal Tolerance

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study investigates how early‐life thermal environments affect later thermal tolerance in the black‐lip pearl oyster, Pinctada margaritifera. Developmental thermal priming had contrasting, family‐specific effects on thermal tolerance, with conserved stress‐response pathways but evidence of priming‐induced regulatory network reorganization.

Varying-Parameter Supply Functions and the Sources of Economic Distress in American Agriculture, 1866-1914 [PDF]

open access: yes
The agrarian unrest in the United States at the end of the nineteenth century is examined. This unrest is often viewed as stemming from the inability of farmers to adapt to changing conditions in world agriculture.
