Velocity autocorrelation function of a Brownian particle
In this article, we present molecular dynamics study of the velocity autocorrelation function (VACF) of a Brownian particle. We compare the results of the simulation with the exact analytic predictions for a compressible fluid from [6] and an approximate

Asymptotic Expansion for the Magnetoconductance Autocorrelation Function
We complement a recent calculation (P.B. Gossiaux and the present authors, Ann. Phys. (N.Y.) in press) of the autocorrelation function of the conductance versus magnetic field strength for ballistic electron transport through microstructures with the ...

Measurement of surface plasmon autocorrelation functions
In this paper we demonstrate the realization of an autocorrelator for the characterization of ultrashort surface plasmon polariton (SPP) pulses. A wedge shaped structure is used to continuously increase the time delay between two interfering SPPs. The autocorrelation signal is monitored by non-linear two-photon photoemission electron microscopy.

Sampling of stochastic operators
We develop sampling methodology aimed at determining stochastic operators that satisfy a support size restriction on the autocorrelation of the operators stochastic spreading function.

The autocorrelation of the Mobius function and Chowla's conjecture for the rational function field [PDF]
We prove a function field version of Chowla's conjecture on the autocorrelation of the Mobius function in the limit of a large finite field.Comment: Added background details about discriminants and resultants, and more minor ...

Apodization and the point-spread autocorrelation function [PDF]
A novel function, the point-spread autocorrelation function (PSAF), which is closely related to the point-spread function, of a high numerical aperture microscope objective is introduced. The function is both experimentally measured and theoretically modeled for various apodization conditions.

Sidelobe Level Reduction in the ACF of NLFM Signals Using the Smoothing Spline Method
The high level of sidelobes in the autocorrelation function of the nonlinear frequency modulation signal is a challenge. One of the conventional methods to reduce the sidelobe levels is to use the principle of stationary phase.

Derivation of correlation dimension from spatial autocorrelation functions.
BackgroundSpatial complexity is always associated with spatial autocorrelation. Spatial autocorrelation coefficients including Moran's index proved to be an eigenvalue of the spatial correlation matrixes. An eigenvalue represents a kind of characteristic
