AF-AMPNet: A Deep Learning Approach for Sparse Aperture ISAR Imaging and Autofocusing

IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2022
Inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging and autofocusing are challenging under sparse aperture (SA) conditions. Traditional imaging or autofocusing methods fail to obtain satisfying results due to the nonuniform and incomplete data caused by SA ...

Tunable Autofocusing and Enhanced Trapping Forces with Circular Pearcey Airy Beams

Physical Review Applied, 2023
We propose and demonstrate an autofocusing beam, named the circular Pearcey Airy beam (CPAB). It is found that the CPAB exhibits a superior autofocusing property, leading to an enhanced trapping force within the autofocusing region.

Simultaneously enhancing autofocusing ability and extending focal length for a ring Airyprime beam array by a linear chirp.

Optics Letters, 2023
It is of great significance to solve the problem that improving autofocusing ability is always at the cost of shortening focal length. By introducing a linear chirp into a ring Airyprime beam array, an optimization scheme to simultaneously achieve the ...

A Novel 2-D Autofocusing Algorithm for Real Airborne Stripmap Terahertz Synthetic Aperture Radar Imaging

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2023
In practical applications, airborne terahertz synthetic aperture radar (THz-SAR) echo signal is not only affected by range amplitude and phase errors introduced by nonideal THz device but also affected by motion error in azimuth induced by the nonideal ...

Joint 2-D Sparse ISAR Imaging and Autofocusing by Using 2-D-IADIANet

IEEE Sensors Journal, 2023
Compressive sensing (CS)-based methods have been widely used for sparse inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) imaging. However, many CS-based methods are sensitive to the selection of model parameters, and the residual phase error of the echo also ...

Sparse Stripmap SAR Autofocusing Imaging Combining Phase Error Estimation and L₁-Norm Regularization Reconstruction

IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, 2023
Various reasons can induce phase error during synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data collection. If phase error is ignored during SAR imaging, the defocused image will be obtained.

Key to an extension or shortening of focal length in the enhancement of autofocusing ability of a circular Airyprime beam caused by a linear chirp factor.

Optics Letters, 2023
Researchers are puzzled whether the enhancement of the abruptly autofocusing ability caused by a linear chirp factor is accompanied by the shortening or the extension of the focal length.

Autofocusing in digital holography using eigenvalues

Applied Optics, 2021
A new autofocusing algorithm for digital holography is proposed based on the eigenvalues of the images reconstructed at different distances in the measurement volume. An image quality metric evaluated based on the distribution of its eigenvalues is compared in function of the reconstruction distance to identify the location of the focal plane.

Fast Autofocusing Algorithm Based on Variable Step Search and Curve Fitting Applied in the Near- and Far-Field Detection System With a Common Optical Path

Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2023
We design a set of near- and far-field detection system with a common optical path. And we propose a fast autofocusing algorithm based on variable step search and curve fitting for defocus aberration correction of the system.

An autofocusing method for dynamic surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy detection realized by optimized hill-climbing algorithm with long time stable hotspots.

Spectrochimica Acta Part A - Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2023
In the manual dynamic surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (D-SERS) detection process, it is difficult to focus on sample drop due to the constantly changing hotspot and easy judgment method.
