A Nationwide Assessment of Anticholestatic Therapy Uptake in Patients With Primary Biliary Cholangitis: Opportunities for Optimisation
Alimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.Among a nationwide population with primary biliary cholangitis, almost all people were prescribed ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA). However, UDCA was insufficiently dosed in a one third of them. The results indicate that first‐line treatment can be optimized, particularly in those with a biochemical response and higher body weight.Ellen Werner, Maria C. B. van Hooff, Gemma H. X. British Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.Summary
Allogeneic haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is a curative therapy for severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID). Conditioning improves donor engraftment and freedom from immunoglobulin replacement (IgR) but increases the risks of acute and late toxicity. Treosulfan, a reduced toxicity alkylating agent, has emerged as an alternative Su Han Lum, Sinéad Greener, Irum Latif Memon, Persis Amrolia, Zohreh Nademi, Robert Chiesa, Juliana Silva, Helen Young, Stephen Owens, Eleri Williams, Khuen Foong Ng, Terry Flood, Andrew R Gennery, Sophie Hambleton, Kanchan Rao, Mary Slatter +15 morewiley +1 more sourceCheckpoint inhibitors, obinutuzumab plus PET‐adapted ultra‐low dose nodal radiotherapy yield high efficacy in treatment‐naïve follicular lymphoma: Results from the phase II ‘FLUORO’ study
British Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.Summary
Follicular lymphoma (FL) first‐line chemoimmunotherapy yields high efficacy but serious toxicity in 65% of patients. In high tumour burden treatment‐naïve FL, we aimed to exploit known immunostimulatory and cytotoxic properties of combination checkpoint inhibition (atezolizumab) and obinutuzumab (6 cycles) with positron emission tomography (PET)Arina Martynchyk, Geoffrey Chong, Richard Khor, Denise Lee, Sze Ting Lee, Andrew M. British Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.Summary
T‐cell abnormalities have been implicated in the pathogenesis of acquired pure red cell aplasia (PRCA), particularly in its major subtypes such as idiopathic PRCA, thymoma‐associated PRCA and large granular lymphocytic leukaemia (LGLL)–associated PRCA, and the precise details remain unclear.Naruaki Yamashita, Toru Kawakami, Shuji Matsuzawa, Shotaro Miyairi, Masae Maruyama, Fumihiro Kawakami, Shunsuke Kojima, Ryu Yanagisawa, Yumiko Higuchi, Hideki Makishima, Hideyuki Nakazawa, Fumihiro Ishida +11 morewiley +1 more source
