Prognosis of autoimmune pancreatitis
Journal of Gastroenterology, 2007Autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) is responsive to steroid therapy, but some AIP patients improve spontaneously, or only improve after biliary drainage. Pancreatic enlargement and irregular narrowing of the main pancreatic duct usually improves in almost all patients, but marked atrophy of the pancreas develops in some patients.

Autoimmune pancreatitis with pseudocysts
Journal of Gastroenterology, 2004A 47-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital with complaints of fever, upper abdominal pain, and back pain. The serum amylase, C-reactive protein (CRP), and IgG (especially IgG4) were elevated, and abdominal computed tomography (CT) revealed diffuse enlargement of the pancreas and pseudocysts.
