Laser‐Based Sculpturing of Embedded Ultrathin Metal‐Oxide Nanopores for Enhanced Biomolecular Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled laser‐drilling of embedded HfO2 membranes creates three layer nanopores with Gaussian‐shaped cavities sculptured in the supporting layers. These embedded solid‐state nanopores slow DNA translocation by 12‐fold compared to SiNx pores, enabling high‐resolution, label‐free detection of short DNAs, RNAs, and proteins.

Development of an Equivalent Force Method and an Application in Simulating the Radiated Noise from an Operating Diesel Engine

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 1999
In this paper a new methodology is presented for applying measured accelerations and forces as excitation on a structural finite element model in order to perform a forced frequency response analysis. The computed vibration constitutes the excitation for

Architectures for Automated Contractual Cooperation

open access: yes, 2021
Every agreement freely entered into is a contract. Some are stated in front of witnesses, other are implied by actions, while yet other are meticulously recorded in lengthy documents. They specify the terms of collaboration and allow for disputes to be settled in a court of law.
