Automatic model calibration

Hydrological Processes, 2005
AbstractModel calibration allows reducing parameter uncertainty and, therefore, uncertainty in simulation results. In the present study, automatic model calibration with the shuffled complex evolution algorithm is demonstrated using the example of the distributed conceptual model SWAT‐G, a derivative of the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT).

Automatic calibration in capillary electrophoresis

Electrophoresis, 2000
A direct, completely automated calibration procedure in capillary electrophoresis (CE) is presented. The manual calibration operations involved in analytical methods, such as external calibration, standard addition, and internal standard, were accomplished with a continuous flow system (CFS) coupled to commercial capillary electrophoresis equipment via

Robot-assisted automatic ultrasound calibration

International Journal of Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery, 2016
Ultrasound (US) calibration is the process of determining the unknown transformation from a coordinate frame such as the robot's tooltip to the US image frame and is a necessary task for any robotic or tracked US system. US calibration requires submillimeter-range accuracy for most applications, but it is a time-consuming and repetitive task.

Automatic camera calibration based on robot calibration

IMTC/99. Proceedings of the 16th IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference (Cat. No.99CH36309), 2003
MCIT (Multimedia Control Interface for Telerobotics) is an augmented reality system we are working on in our lab. MCIT sensing devices consist of a camera, allowing the operator an indirect view of a scene (real world), proprioceptive and exteroceptive sensors, allowing the building and updating of the 3D geometric database (3D DB) of the environment ...

Automatic pulse calibration system

1988. IMTC-88. 5th IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Technology Conference, 1988
An automatic pulse-calibration system (APCS) which fills the need for a pulse metrology standard for an automatic pulse-measurement system built by the authors in 1984 (APMS) is described. The methods for analysis and reduction of systematic errors, due here to vertical nonlinearity, and random errors are examined.

Intelligent and automatic wavelength calibration method

Applied Optics, 2018
Wavelength calibration is carried out before a spectrometer is used normally. The usual calibration process measures a standard light source of known wavelength, such as that of a mercury argon lamp. The spectral lines formed by the standard light source are divided to find the peak value; then, the peak value of the light source is matched with the ...

A simple automatic magnetic field calibrator

Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1968
An automatic, self-locking magnetic field calibrator based on proton resonance is described. A simple binary counting circuit is used for monitoring the swept frequency of the nuclear magnetic resonance detector. The errors introduced with such a circuit are determined.

Calibration of automatic network analyzers

14th IEE Microwave Measurements Training Course, 2005
Network analysers are very complex instruments so it is important to define terms such as calibration to avoid confusion. The two dictionary definitions of calibration that can be applied to network analysers are 'to mark (a gauge) with a scale of readings' [1], and 'to correlate the readings of (an instrument, etc.) with a standard to find the calibre

An Automatically Calibrated Urban Model

Environment and Planning A: Economy and Space, 1975
The Garin–Lowry model is a well-documented spatial interaction model which does, however, leave unanswered questions that relate to the constraint procedure and the supply component. The incorporation of a stock simulation model satisfies both these limitations and if the iterative structure is reformulated the whole is capable of automatic ...

Automatic bake plate calibration

SPIE Proceedings, 2004
In this paper, we introduce MaskTemp TM , a novel wireless metrology system to record in-situ the temperature of a reticle during processing. In combination with OnWafer Technologies' AutoCal bake plate optimization software, MaskTemp provides a quick and easy method to fingerprint and optimize the within-plate temperature uniformity of advanced PEB ...
