A multivariable adaptive control scheme for automatic carrier landing of UAV

Aerospace Science and Technology, 2019
Abstract This paper studies a multivariable model reference adaptive control (MRAC) scheme for the automatic carrier-landing control problem of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with system dynamics of nonlinearity, multivariable coupling and parametric uncertainty. A complete automatic carrier landing system (ACLS) for carrier-based UAVs is developed,

The top-level design study for the automatic carrier landing system

2016 IEEE Chinese Guidance, Navigation and Control Conference (CGNCC), 2016
This paper focused on the top-level design of the automatic carrier landing system. The carrier platform and carrier-based aircraft landing technology in China have been mature and stable now, in this case, to develop the automatic carrier landing system and to put it into use will greatly enhance the operational capability of the aircraft carrier.

Prescribed performance control for automatic carrier landing with disturbance

Nonlinear Dynamics, 2018
This paper presents a novel automatic carrier landing controller which holds a constant angle of attack during final approach with prescribed performance in the presence of external disturbances and carrier deck motion. Based on the nonlinear model of the aircraft, backstepping technique is adopted as the main control frame.

Fuzzy controller design for automatic carrier landing of aircraft

Proceedings of the 33rd Chinese Control Conference, 2014
For the uncertain impact of ship air wake and deck motion to the landing process, the traditional automatic carrier landing system lacks flexibility and accuracy. This paper designs fuzzy controller for automatic carrier landing of aircraft. The application examined is a F/A-18 Fuzzy Logic Automatic Carrier Landing System (FACLS).

Control Barrier Function Based Nonlinear Controller for Automatic Carrier Landing

2020 16th International Conference on Control, Automation, Robotics and Vision (ICARCV), 2020
This paper proposes a novel control barrier function(CBF) based output constraints path following control method, which is applied to automatic carrier landing system. The 6 degrees-of-freedom of aircraft model is converted to an affine model. Based on the transformed affine model, backstepping is used as the main control frame.

A self adaptive automatic carrier landing system (ACLS)

1970 IEEE Symposium on Adaptive Processes (9th) Decision and Control, 1970
This paper describes the results of a simulation study carried out to demonstrate the feasibility of a Self Adaptive ACLS. Results indicate that such a system can successfully reduce system errors due to nonlinearities and noise effects.
