Some Automatic Continuity Theorems for Operator Algebras and Centralizers of Pedersen's Ideal [PDF]
We prove automatic continuity theorems for "decomposable" or "local" linear transformations between certain natural subspaces of operator algebras. The transformations involved are not algebra homomorphisms but often are module homomorphisms.

Turning Automatic Continuity Around: Automatic Homomorphisms
Let $G$ and $H$ be Polish groups and let $\pi\colon G\rightarrow H$ be a function. The automatic continuity problem is the following: assuming $\pi$ is a group homomorphism, find conditions on $G$, $H$, or $\pi$ which imply that $\pi$ is continuous. In this note, we initiate a study of a reverse problem: supposing $\pi$ is continuous, find conditions ...

Additivity, subadditivity and linearity: automatic continuity and quantifier weakening [PDF]
We study the interplay between additivity (as in the Cauchy functional equation), subadditivity and linearity. We obtain automatic continuity results in which additive or subadditive functions, under minimal regularity conditions, are continuous and so ...

HiCAT: a tool for automatic annotation of centromere structure
Significant improvements in long-read sequencing technologies have unlocked complex genomic areas, such as centromeres, in the genome and introduced the centromere annotation problem. Currently, centromeres are annotated in a semi-manual way.

Design of the BATS for a large data center
As important loads in first-class loads, the large data center demands a highly reliable power supply. In addition to a dual power supply, the center is also equipped with an emergency power supply system. The traditional busbar automatic transfer switch

Maps preserving common zeros between subspaces of vector-valued continuous functions [PDF]
For metric spaces $X$ and $Y$, normed spaces $E$ and $F$, and certain subspaces $A(X,E)$ and $A(Y,F)$ of vector-valued continuous functions, we obtain a complete characterization of linear and bijective maps $T:A(X,E)\to A(Y,F)$ preserving common zeros ...

Automatic continuity of concave functions [PDF]
A necessary and sufficient condition is given that a semicontinuous, nonnegative, concave function on a finite dimensional closed convex set X X necessarily be continuous at a point x 0 ∈ X {x_0} \in X .

Automatic continuity of homomorphisms between topological inverse semigroups
We find conditions on topological inverse semigroups X, Y guaranteeing the continuity of any homomorphism h : X → Y having continuous restrictions to any subsemilattice and any subgroup of X.
