Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Multi-timescale robust dispatching for coordinated automatic generation control and energy storage

open access: yesGlobal Energy Interconnection, 2020
The increasing penetration of renewable energy into power grids is reducing the regulation capacity of automatic generation control (AGC). Thus, there is an urgent demand to coordinate AGC units with active equipment such as energy storage.

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Deep Reinforcement Learning Based Multi-Objective Integrated Automatic Generation Control for Multiple Continuous Power Disturbances

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
This paper proposes a multi-objective integrated automatic generation control (MOI-AGC) that combines a controller with a dispatch together. This can contribute to improving both control performance and economy in a power grid with multiple continuous ...

Deep Learning–Assisted Differentiation of Four Peripheral Neuropathies Using Corneal Confocal Microscopy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Peripheral neuropathies contribute to patient disability but may be diagnosed late or missed altogether due to late referral, limitation of current diagnostic methods and lack of specialized testing facilities. To address this clinical gap, we developed NeuropathAI, an interpretable deep learning–based multiclass classification ...

Design of CAN Underlying Module Library Based on Simulink AutomaticCode Generation Technology

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu, 2020
Traditional software development methods for CAN communication in automobile controller have the problem of large message data and low efficiency. This paper proposed a design method of CAN underlying module library based on Simulink automatic code ...

Effect of energy storage systems on automatic generation control of interconnected traditional and restructured energy systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energy Research, 2019
During major disturbances in electric power system (PS) penetrated with renewable energy sources, primary and supplementary automatic generation control (AGC) strategies usually show inefficiency in mitigating the frequency and power oscillations because

Crowd-sourcing NLG Data: Pictures Elicit Better Data

open access: yes, 2016
Recent advances in corpus-based Natural Language Generation (NLG) hold the promise of being easily portable across domains, but require costly training data, consisting of meaning representations (MRs) paired with Natural Language (NL) utterances.

Post‐COVID Fatigue Is Associated With Reduced Cortical Thickness After Hospitalization

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Neuropsychiatric symptoms are among the most prevalent sequelae of COVID‐19, particularly among hospitalized patients. Recent research has identified volumetric brain changes associated with COVID‐19. However, it currently remains poorly understood how brain changes relate to post‐COVID fatigue and cognitive deficits.
